On your Mac, open System Settings → Accessibility → Read & Speak (Spoken Content on older macOS) → System voice → manage voices. Preview and download an Enhanced or Premium voice, then reload the reader.
The Mac app includes Kokoro / MLX natural voices and Apple’s speech engine. The website uses the voices available to your browser.
